Bookkeeper – Greater Farallones Association – San Francisco

Job Duties
Enter A/P, A/R, receipts, and disbursements into QuickBooks
Process semi-monthly payroll via ADP payroll services
Manage online tools, including Quickbooks Time, Divvy, and Bill.com
Prepare and submit contract invoices and track payments
Work with managers to ensure accurate tracking and release of restricted revenue
Perform month-end closing, prepare and record account reconciliations and journal entries
Act as primary contact for annual audit and ensure timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns and other required reports, and to support the annual financial audit
If desired, manage and further develop the organization’s financial accounting and reporting systems

Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of nonprofit GAAP and financial management, including experience in revenue recognition and release of restrictions on contributions
Experience in AP/AR and payroll processing; and managing audits
Experience in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
Highly organized, systems-oriented, and able to manage project deadlines
Ability to work both independently and as a team member
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work at a computer for up to eight hours per day
Successful federal background check

Preferred Qualifications
Degree or certification in finance or accounting, or comparable experience
Employee Status and Benefits
This hybrid remote/on-site position may be full-time or part-time, with a minimum of 1-2 days per week onsite. The starting FTE salary is $60,000 – $75,000, depending on experience. This position offers opportunities for advancement.
