Maintenance Director

New York, NY

Oversees the maintenance staff and the day to day operation of the physical plant. Maintains site cleanliness and good state of repairs. Submits monthly reports related to facility. Keep track of maintenance budgets, inventories and orders supplies as needed. Interacts with vendors, help develops scope of work, collects bids, and arranges schedule for proposed work. Enforces company policy. Ensures facility compliance with state, city and local audits and inspections. Ensure goods and services are properly requested. Meeting statistical reporting deadlines are met. Maintains site in good state of repairs at all times. Trains Maintenance Supervisor. Adhere to strict OSHA compliance. Ensure guidelines for fiscal budget are adhered to. On call 24 hours a day. Conducts evaluation of subordinates.

Requirements: High School Diploma/GED, Associate Degree preferred. Basic electrical wiring and boiler mechanic skills required. Experience with HVAC operation and plumbing experience necessary. Minimum of five (5) years of field experience in mechanical operations or four (4) years’ experience as a Maintenance Supervisor. Organizational skills. Computer literate specifically with Microsoft applications required. Valid US driver license required. Certificate of Fitness in related field a plus. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
