Northern is currently seeking a Division Director-Behavioral Health who shares this vision and approach, as reflected in his or her strong experience, background, and expertise.

Position

Reporting to the Chief Program & Chief Clinical Officer (CPCO), the Division Director-Behavioral Health will serve on the leadership team and have overall strategic and operational responsibility for the behavioral health division. The Program Directors and Director of Case Management respectively report directly to the Division Director-Behavorial Health. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated clinical, program leadership, coaching, and intern/external relationship management experience.

The Division Director-Behavorial Health is responsible for assuring all behavioral health services are delivered according to the highest quality standards and according to regulatory and funding source guidelines.

Duties will include

Plans, organizes, directs, and reviews all facets of the behavioral health division; review policies, procedures, and methods used in the Behavioral Health programs for effectiveness and consistency with service goals and standards; develops new strategies based on programs and stakeholder needs, develops goals and objectives to accomplish program goals; identifies potential problems and generates innovative and creative solutions.

Implements metrics and evaluation tools, and manages ongoing data collection , aggregation and analysis to demonstrate impact within and across programs and to leverage this information as program management tools that support real-time, mid-course corrections that improve individual programs.

Assures that programs operate on the basis of sound administrative, fiscal and quality management principles with available financial resources.

Provides leadership, direction and oversight in the in the implementation of children’s behavioral health services; supervises and directs the work of program directors; interviews, hires, evaluates, and trains staff.

Develops, recommends and implements new or revised policies, standards and procedures; monitors policies and procedures for compliance and quality standards.

Clearly and effectively communicates agency goals and directives to the division.

Participates in short and long range strategic and budget planning and preparation.

Maintains dialogue with internal and external stakeholders

Partner with CPCO and Chief Development Officer to expand revenue generating and fundraising activities to support existing programs and the growth of Northern; cultivate existing relationships and develop new funder relationships

Qualifications

Education: Minimum of a Master’s degree in a mental health discipline or related field.
At least six (6) years of experience in a social service and/or mental health organization, with a minimum of four (4) years supervisory experience. Knowledge of evidence based practices and trauma informed care required
Excellent working knowledge of clinical issues relating to children, adolescents and families.
Strong relationship builder and communicator with experience leading diverse work teams, developing an organization-wide strategy for program excellence, engaging community partners, and partnering with the Executive Leadership team
