RESULTS is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join its Microcredit Summit Campaign team as a Summit Associate, supporting agenda development and coordinating logistical needs for the annual Microcredit Summit event.

The Microcredit Summit Campaign (the “Campaign”) is a project of RESULTS Educational Fund. The Campaign is the largest global network of institutions and individuals involved in microfinance. The coalition of Campaign members announcing Commitments is aimed at motivating microfinance stakeholders to provide products and services that reach the extreme poor and facilitate their movement out of poverty. www.microcreditsummit.org

Position description:

This position will report to the Program Manager, working as part of a three-person team. The Summit Associate is accountable for organizing Summit sessions, managing the registration process, and ensure logistical arrangements for the event in the host country.

Responsibilities:

Serve as primary contact coordinating event logistics with Local Partner and Meeting Planner in the host country.
Coordinate vendor selection process and monitor quotes and actuals against overall budget targets.
Identify logistical requirements and ensure proper on-site execution and operation of the Exhibit Area.
Organize Summit sessions, as well as networking and cultural events within the Summit agenda.
Manage overall registration process, including supervision on-site registration and handling of any participant inquiries.
Develop and maintain up-to-date promotional materials, including brochures, website information, and other informational pieces.
Prepare sponsorship agreements and coordinate fulfillment of sponsor benefits.
Produce extensive Evaluation Report– including attendee feedback and survey results– which assesses overall event success.
Support overall Campaign mission through other duties as assigned.

Desired skills and qualifications:

Undergraduate degree in relevant field, preferably in international development, international studies, or non-profit management.
Minimum of one year work experience. International work experience desirable.
Flexible team player who can easily adapt to changing conditions and work assignments.
Experience in event planning and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and complex assignments.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, as well as to work independently and as part of a larger team.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and WordPress.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong commitment to the mission of the organization. Familiarity with microfinance field preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish or French are necessary.
Ability to travel internationally for the Summits.
