Korean Bilingual Mental Health Therapist – Korean American Family Services – Los Angeles

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Korean American Family Services (KFAM) is a non-profit organization specializing in gender-based violence, mental health, and social services to Korean and API immigrant families. KFAM is seeking a highly motivated, Korean bilingual mental health therapist to work under the supervision of Mental Health Program Director. Therapist will provide psychotherapy, advocacy and outreach to the community, especially focusing on children and youth regarding issues related to bullying and school violence.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Provide mental health therapy services to individuals, couples, and families, especially focused on children/youth victims of bullying/school violence and their family members.
Provide outreach, advocacy, and community education on bullying and school violence.
Provide case navigation as needed.
Complete and submit intake assessments, treatment plan, progress notes, and other client related documents in a timely manner as required.
Provide crisis intervention to clients as needed.
Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bilingual in Korean required
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Professional Clinical Counseling required
CA BBS registration as an Associate required
Experience working with children and youth highly preferred
Must have driver’s license, auto insurance and be willing to drive regularly
2-3 years of Department of Mental Health (DMH) service experience in a non-profit or government setting preferred
Ability to work some evenings and Saturday mornings as needed
Well-organized, self-directed, and hard-working
