Field Director for Progressive Seattle City Councilmember – Argo Strategies – Seattle

Job Description:
The campaign to re-elect Tammy Morales to the Seattle City Council District 2 seat is seeking a Field Director for the 2023 election. The Field Director will be responsible for executing a winning field strategy across District 2 (CID, Yesler Terrace, South Seattle). Candidates should be motivated, have a good attitude, and be committed to electing a progressive woman of color who will fight to ensure we build vibrant neighborhoods where everyone has a safe home, easy access to work or school, and enough food on the table, regardless of their income or race.
This is a full-time position (35-45 hrs/week) through November 2023.

● Recruit an enthusiastic base of campaign volunteers to initiate targeted voter contact and field plans including door-knocking, phone-banking, text-banking, and digital organizing.
● Execute other creative forms of voter contact and participate in meeting campaign goals
● Maintain volunteer and field databases including in Votebuilder and other campaign software
● Track and report progress on field goals throughout the campaign
● Coordinate and communicate with partner groups and other supporters

● Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
● Comfortable participating in traditional forms of voter contact, including cold calling and door-to-door persuasion.
● Ability to work in a high-stress environment, under tight campaign deadlines
● Capacity to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
● Proficiency with computer technology and social media, ability to learn new software quickly, and preferably, familiarity with *Votebuilder, *NGP, Google Drive, and MS Office programs
● Campaign or organizing experience preferred, but other relevant experience will also be considered

This is a full-time position through November 2023. Compensation based on experience with a salary range of $3,000-$3,250/mo, and possibility of a winning bonus depending on outcome. Health insurance provided for those who need it.
The person in this position must be able to: frequently communicate via email, and phone; remain in a stationary position 50+% of the time; move for extended periods of time; occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
