Marketing Coordinator – SF Marin Food Bank – San Francisco, CA

PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Marketing Coordinator provides creative production support and project management for publications and marketing materials that contribute to the Food Bank’s fundraising and public relations success.

The ideal candidate will be a detail-orientated self-starter with a solid background in project management, file management, content management systems and marketing strategies including social media best practices.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide production management services for a variety of creative projects, including our eNewsletter. Responsibilities include coordinating the production calendar, providing feedback and direction to outside designers and print vendors, and facilitating the review process.

Update Food Bank website using CMS tools, both developing new content and maintaining the integrity of information, stories, photos and graphics.

Maintain photo and graphics library and creative production files; provide assets to staff and outside designers and printers.

Creatively execute the Food Bank’s social media strategies, including drafting and posting items on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media platforms.

Writing engaging marketing copy for projects such as the eNewsletter, website and social media.

Provide administrative support to the Marketing team, including requesting project estimates, archiving projects, etc.

Test campaigns and pull analytics reports for web traffic ads, social media engagement, and other marketing strategies.

Complete other duties as assigned, including copy-editing and researching marketing tools used in non-profit fundraising.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

1-2 years of project management experience

Confident with publishing and engagement trends and best practices across several social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest

Strong interest in the creative process and marketing tactics

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Mac

Familiarity with using CMS systems (WordPress preferred) and files produced in Adobe Creative Suite

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
