Logistics Specialist – Maersk – Florham Park

As the Logistics Specialist in our Florham Park, NJ office, you will efficiently coordinate the end to end program and information flows for named accounts where supply chain services represent the primary scope of work, with an end goal to exceed customer requirements and to meet/exceed regional goals and objectives.

Key responsibilities
-Understand the supply chain account’s business requirements and the end-to-end program which Damco has committed, then execute according to defined Internal Operating Procedures (IOPs), Standard Operating Procedures and Key Predictive Indicators (KPIs).
-Proactively identify program exceptions, then troubleshoot and solve according to broad guidelines provided by the Program Manager and or KAM, where applicable.
-Communicate professionally with our accounts, their vendors and suppliers
-Maintain IOPs, SOPs and KPIs in accordance with business changes
-Build long term relationships with our accounts’ operational teams
-Prepare and present KPIs and other program initiatives to internal Damco stakeholders
-Support the Program Manager/Key Account Manager (where applicable) by providing ideas for process improvements

We are looking for
-High School Degree or equivalent with 2 to 4 years of functional experience in transportation or logistics required
-OR College degree in Business Management, International Business or Supply Chain Management with 2 to 3 years of customer service experience required.
-A strong execution minded individual with strong financial technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus including an understanding of systems.
-Excellent communication skills
-Excellent conflict resolution and problem solving skills.
-Team player and collaborative
-Self-driven and self-motivated
-Great working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
