Program Manager, Out-Patient Program – Exodus Transitional Community Inc – New York, NY

Exodus Transitional Community, Inc. is a cutting edge faith-based reentry program seeking a dynamic, self-driven, passionate individual to join our newly created OASAS licensed Substance abuse program. We have been providing Reentry services for 16 years to men and women returning into their communities after incarceration and youth groups to young adults 16-25 who are at risk. We are now providing out-patient services to our population.

The Program Manager is expected to ensure the smooth day-to-day running, coordination and supervision of all program-related staff and services in accordance with all program goals, targets, and performance outcomes and all OASAS and Exodus policies, procedures, and protocols. This position will manage multiple staff and provide planning, oversight, and supervision to a team of clinical staff. The Program Manager has a keen sense of program design, project and staff management skills, and the ability to respond effectively to participant needs. S/he is also decisive, flexible, creative, and uses a strengths-based approach. S/he supervises full-time and part-time staff as well as interns and participant leaders.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee daily activity in program and ensure a seamless, efficient, recovery-informed, and welcoming triage process
Managing and providing wellness programming including activities, groups, and workshops that keep participants engaged
Develop collaborative and trusting relationships with staff, interns, volunteers, peer leaders, and clients
Manage the program in accordance with OASAS and Exodus requirements. Ensure that program remains within relevant guidelines.
Ensure that compliance and evaluation components of the program are met in a timely manner
Provide programmatic support to all clinical staff
Provide regular, written reports to the Clinical Director and additional reports as assigned
Other duties as assigned to support the mission of the organization

Necessary Skills/Qualifications

Master’s of Social Work degree preferred and/or Licensed Social Work degree with 2 years supervisory experience.
At least two years managing a program or project with compliance and evaluation requirements; including reporting and tracking
Ability to manage competing priorities, including proficiency in balancing direct service responsibilities with effective project and staff management
Excellent active listening, crisis intervention, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to exercise and model good judgment. Ability to problem-solve and navigate complex systems.
Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Strong administrative skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required
Bilingual Spanish a plus
