Operations / Human Resources Manager – Positive Resource Center – San Francisco, CA

Position Summary:

This management level position is responsible for daily operations of Administration, Human Resources and Front Office. This position demands a high level of critical thinking and initiative. The Operations Manager is under the direct supervision of the Director of Finance.

Position Responsibilities Include:

Administration:

Responsible for facilities management including office space and equipment
Maintains agency insurance policies
Acts as contact for building maintenance and emergency security calls
Performs certain routine fiscal functions in order to maintain segregation of duties

Maintains agency policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies

Human Resources:

Serves as the primary contact for employees for personnel issues such as benefits package, paid time off, leaves of absence and reasonable accommodations
Monitors policy and procedure compliance with local, state and federal employment laws and regulations
Monitors compliance with personnel guidelines
Provides benefits management of employee health, dental, LTD, life and retirement plans
Conducts orientation for new employees
Maintains personnel files, time reports and paid time off accrual
Prepares paperwork for exiting employees

Front Office:

Supervises Front Office Coordinator
Ensures quality control for visitors and clients by phone and in the front office
Assumes responsibility for the front office during lunch breaks and in the absence of the Front Office Coordinator

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or related nonprofit management experience required
A minimum of 3 years of nonprofit HR, administration and supervision experience required
2-5 years of experience working with various insurance brokers preferred
Strong management and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to think and problem solve creatively
Sensitivity to confidential information
Sensitivity to low-income individuals, people with psychiatric disabilities, people with HIV/AIDS, people of color, active drug users, people with a history of homelessness or incarceration, and people in the LGBT community
