Jewish Vocational Service seeks Career Coaches to be responsible for developing strong job leads, providing high quality career counseling, training, and job placement assistance to designated job seekers. The Career Coaches initiate and sustain collaborative working relationships with a variety of businesses in the greater Lawrence and Boston areas or the Lynn and Boston areas.

For positions in Lawrence, the Career Coach must have flexibility to travel between various employer locations in order to serve participants applying for jobs in the greater Lawrence area and to travel to Boston as needed.

For positions in Lynn, the Career Coach must have flexibility to travel between various employer locations in order to serve participants applying for jobs in the greater Lynn area and to travel to Boston as needed.

Career Coaches at both locations must have a strong knowledge of issues related to individuals with significant barriers to employment, as well as experience working with people from diverse backgrounds.

The ideal candidate will have:
1-3 years of experience in workforce development or related field required
1-3 years of experience working with individuals with barriers to employment strongly desired
Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills required
Experience in marketing and outreach desired
Proficiency in a language spoken by immigrant participants preferred (Spanish)
Familiarity with career ladders and professional advancement preferred
For the Lawrence location, knowledge of community resources in Lawrence and web-based resources preferred
For the Lynn location, knowledge of community resources in Lynn and web-based resources preferred
Work hours are generally 9-5 Monday through Friday (full-time 35 hours per week).
