DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY
The Leadership Engagement Associate provides both programmatic and administrative support to the Leadership Development team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
Federation Fellows
Fed Fellows Leadership Training Program: (Includes 20 participants)
· Facilitating application/interview process (updating website and applications, recruitment, PR for the program, application review, telephone & in-person interviews)
· Pairing/matching process (working with Fellows on top choices, working with agencies on interests, and facilitating interviews & mentorship program)
· Workshops: Held approximately every 6 weeks (planning and organizing session, working with session lead, writing agendas, session facilitation)
· Daily maintenance of program (check-ins with each Fellow, check-ins with agencies, Facebook group updates, Fed Fellows blog posts, creation and execution of surveys, social gatherings on Sundays, entering in Raiser’s Edge, working with partner agencies, working with the Federation staff, etc.)

Awards/Succession Planning
Marketing of awards, updating all connected websites and forms, form distribution and follow up with each nominator, and all event follow-up activities
· Judith Chapman Memorial Women’s Leadership Award & Committee
· Lloyd W. Dinkelspiel Award & Committee
· Robert Sinton Award for Distinguished Leadership Award & Committee
· Diller Education Awards Committee & Event

Committees
Preparation of materials for the meetings (creating volunteer pipelines, doing research on partner agency boards, etc.), and putting together booklets for the committee members and meeting follow-up
· Leadership Development Committee
· Board Nominating Committee
· Governance Committee
· Board of Governors

Next Gen Team
Work with large and small teams on Next Gen engagement, including pipeline development and volunteer leadership structure development and implementation
· Database management
· Budget Reconciliation: American Express reporting
· Regular interaction with lay leaders, including many members of the Board

EDUCATION OR TRAINING EQUIVALENT TO
· College degree preferred

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, ABILITIES, LICENSE)
· Superb communication skills, both written and verbal
· Strong organizational skills
· Must be team-oriented and possess problem-solving ability
· Know when to seek direction, yet able to operate independently
· Candidate will have the highest professional integrity and discretion; strong interpersonal skills a must
· Flexibility, including regularly reestablishing priorities and the ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
· Demonstrated experience in formulating and implementing effective workflow processes, policies, and procedures
· Ability to speak respectfully with donors of all levels
· Excellent computer skills including MS Office
· Experienced PowerPoint successes a plus
· Raiser’s Edge database experience preferred
· Ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of Judaism and the organized Jewish community
