ArtStream is searching for someone to take the helm of our 10-year-old organization. This leader will direct our dedicated staff in support of the large and growing community of adults with disabilities that we serve through our inclusive theatre and leadership programs.
As ArtStream’s ED, you will experience the thrill of challenging young adults with disabilities to grow and develop as individuals, inspiring them to embrace the possibilities of lifelong learning by enlisting the magic of the arts. At ArtStream, we demystify disabilities, creating inclusive communities.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director (ED) will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for ArtStream’s staff of five, its $600,000 budget, its programs and execution of its mission and vision. The ED will work to enhance the quality and diversity of its dramatic productions and leadership programs.
ArtStream operates in the Washington DC metropolitan area with programs in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties in Maryland, as well as in Fairfax and Arlington counties in Virginia. ArtStream also has a satellite in Raleigh North Carolina.
Requirements:
Experience in strategic growth and expansion of organizations with demonstrated track record in fundraising and non-profit financial management
Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to maintain good relations with all stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and public speaking experience
Tech savvy: database management, web platforms, social media
