We are currently recruiting for fully experienced Ground Workers for work in the Newbridge area Co. Kildare. The ideal candidates will have previous experience with laying tarmacadam, paving, kerbs, pipes, ducting, grading, pouring and finishing concrete. Up to date valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling are essential. This is a long term contract with an immediate start.

Transport:
Transport is required for this position
Reporting and Compliance: Assists the Executive Director and Instructional Administration in formulating and reporting all aspects of state required documentation including but not limited to: TSDL, ePMF, Free & Reduced Lunch, and ATS.

Student Data Management: Oversees recordkeeping and student information systems, analyzes and prepares reports on student data using PowerSchool, ATS, Child Nutrition System, NYSED, and TEACH among others.

Technology and Telecommunications:Manages contracted tech support and other vendors, acquires equipment and software, manages compliance with and applications for eRate funding, ensures the functionality of the school’s network and hardware (including troubleshooting and minor repair).

Student Transportation:Oversees start of school year bussing set-up, supervises ongoing changes to routes and recordkeeping, supervises ongoing troubleshooting and issue resolution and communicates with families, DOE, drivers, and bus companies about transportation issues.

Student Recruitment, Enrollment and Registration:Supervises recruitment and application processes, oversees student lottery, manages ongoing enrollment and student recordkeeping.

Food Services: Manages vendor relationships and compliance with State requirements for the Free and Reduced Meals Program, including recordkeeping and reimbursement, and menu creation with the food vendor. Designs lunchroom procedures, supervises cafeteria staff and school aides.

Safety: Manages annual revision and compliance with the school safety plan, supervises drills, ensures regular maintenance of the schools security and fire systems, supervises contracted security guard, and designs procedures and policies to maintain a safe school environment on a daily basis.

Human Resources: Manages the organization’s benefits (Health, Dental, 403b) and HR compliance, and works closely with Finance and independent brokers to ensure coordination of responsibilities.

Facilities: Supervisescustodial staff, manages vendors for pest control and repair work, manages construction and expansion efforts, manages insurance compliance and policy coverage, and designs policies and procedures for cleaning and maintenance.

Front Office/General:Oversees purchasing and receiving for general supplies, ensures that office equipment is operational and properly maintained, oversees general operations and professionalism of front office, including communications with parents.

The Director of Operations is further expected to:

Lead the effort to recruit, select, orient, and retain a talented staff, on both the instructional and operations teams, that is committed to attaining the goals that support the mission of Bronx Arts.
Actively seek out ways to continually improve Operations practices in order to increase his/her effectiveness in his/her role.
Actively strive to embody the organization’s operating principles in his/her work.
Operate according to the professional standards of the school.
Take responsibility for the success of the organization by maximizing all opportunities to further the mission of the organization within the school, broader Hunts Point, and New York City communities.
Support the on-going effort to establish a school culture that reinforces the school’s mission, goals, and operating principles within all aspects of the Bronx Arts community including, but not limited to, the organization’s operations and facilities-related systems, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:
– Master’s degree preferred
– At least 5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a charter school or non-profit setting, with at least two years of successful experience supervising a team
– NYSTL/FAMIS and SmartBoard experience is importanta
– Willing to become a committed member of the Bronx Arts community
– Excellent written and oral communication skills
– Experience in creating, analyzing, and improving systems and procedures
– Experience working with Mac IT systems; some basic knowledge of HTML preferred
– Good at time management and multitasking
– Detail oriented and highly organized
– Solutions oriented

This is a full-time salaried position, requiring early morning hours. Salary is commensurate with experience.
