Director for FCA Operations – Finn Church Aid USA – Washington, DC

The incoming Director will work closely with talented staff to ensure long term success. The successful candidate will be entrepreneurial, mission driven and nimble leader, who possesses a passion for FCA’s mission and strategy as well as operational excellence.

The Director will work closely with FCA head office in Helsinki, regional offices and FCA USA board.

You have proven experience in external relations: partnerships, resource mobilization and networking. You have also minimum 5 years of experience in leadership and management.

You are innovative and capitalize on opportunities and overcome obstacles to achieve sustainable growth goals.

You have experience in collaboration with global development institutions such as the World Bank and Regional Development Banks and UN as well as US government development and humanitarian aid entities.

You are familiar in working with many cultures and you are excellent in both written and verbal English. We value also French language skills.

Strong experience in leadership and management
Strategic planning skills
External relationship management and negotiation
Creative problem solving
Sound analysis and evaluation skills
Experienced in risk awareness and management
Strong experience in financial planning and budgeting.
Strong knowledge of the sector and its trends.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proactively manage complex or heavy workloads
