The OHI Director of Employment Services is responsible for the overall supervision, management, and development of our employment services program. Our program serves adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities throughout Union, Morris, and Somerset counties, in supported employment through job training, job placement, and on-the-job assistance. The Director supervises 5-8 Employment Training Specialists and ensures agency compliance with DDD’s standards.
The main job functions include training, developing and supervising staff, developing and administering budgets, handling employer relations, and monitoring program quality. Day-to-day duties include billing, visiting clients, and observing ETS staff with their clients. Most importantly, the Director ensures that all participants in OHI’s employment services program are working towards or maintaining meaningful employment.
Qualified candidates will have excellent interpersonal, sales, and communication skills, and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the field of supported employment working with adults with developmental disabilities. Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Sociology, or a related field. Supervisory experience and sales experience are both required.
