Company Manager – Dallas Theater Center – Dallas, TX

SUMMARY

The Company Manager is a vital member of the General Management team providing year round support for an 8 show season. This position is responsible for supporting the needs of all guest artists by arranging travel, transportation and housing as well as coordinating all facets of local hospitality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage and facilitate air travel, ground transportation and housing for guest artists and DTC staff
Manage 7 full time guest artist apartments; overseeing move-in and out activities as well as coordinating cleaning and routine maintenance
Oversee apartment inventory of furniture, furnishings and soft goods establishing a regular rotating schedule for replacement and repair as needed
Serve as liaison for all departmental vendors including apartment leasing offices, airlines, travel agent, hotel sales staff, and rental car representatives
Oversee all venue specific access including obtaining parking permits, badges, and keys
Act as an on call reference and after-hours liaison for guest artists
Plan opening night festivities for each show in season
Assist with the administration of all artist contracts including payment of fees and reimbursements
Collecting and distributing employment paperwork including W-4’s, I-9s and bios
Manage Company Management budgets; including processing and tracking invoices
Handle workers compensation issues and reporting in conjunction with Human Resources
Perform additional duties as assigned by Associate General Manager

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

High level of computer proficiency with knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets
Excellent written and verbal communication
Creative problem solving
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Must have valid driver’s license and own transportation
Ability to lift 25 pounds or 50 pounds with assistance
Some evening and weekend work required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
1-3 years experience working in a theatrical office setting
