Administrative Coordinator – New Canaan – St. Mark’s Episcopal Church

Serve as coordinator and implementer of administrative services for St. Mark’s Church in New Canaan, CT. Key liaison between clergy, communications, finance, lay leaders, vendors and volunteers. Bright, energetic, and friendly, you are a team player who prides yourself in keeping things organized and the train moving forward. Pieces fall together in harmony when you get your multi-tasking groove on. You are the center of the hub, and here are some of the things you are coordinating:

Data: keep track of our flock; update data, provide reports and directories as needed to staff and volunteers.

Production of weekly bulletins in InDesign; assist in producing newsletters, mailings and other communications as directed.

Office Management: coordination of reception volunteers, office machine maintenance and repair, vendors and supplies.

Liturgical Coordination: work with clergy, committees and volunteers to create weekly/monthly schedules. Coordinate details and materials for services and other liturgical events.

Archival/Clerical: upkeep of historical data, parish registers, calendars, prepare materials for staff and other meetings.

Specific Qualifications: deep knowledge of ACS REALM or other database program; proficient in InDesign or similar desktop publishing program, Microsoft Office applications, and an aptitude and willingness to learn other programs. Basic knowledge of production a plus. Both Mac and PC environments are utilized.

Two-year college degree required; four-year degree preferred.
Five to seven years of experience in administrative support positions, with increasing levels of responsibility; supervisory experience a plus.
Salary: $49K + amazing health benefits + pension
