NYC Area Educator – Girls Leadership Institute – Lynbrook, NY

Girls Leadership teaches girls the skills to know who they are, what they believe, and how to express it, empowering them to create change in their world. We work with girls, parents and caregivers, and educators to ensure lasting impact through teaching the practices of emotional intelligence, assertive self-expression and healthy relationships, giving girls the skills and confidence to live as leaders.

GL was founded in 2001 by bestselling author and girl-expert Rachel Simmons and educator Simone Marean. Together, they created a critically acclaimed program and curriculum that delivers workshops, a summer program, and day camps for girls, parents and educators.

GL is seeking five additional experienced teachers to add to our team that are dedicated to girls’ social and emotional development to teach school year workshops in this specific NYC region:

Five Educators that will work and travel to areas including Nassau and Suffolk counties including Long Island

GL Educators join a team of outstanding professionals at a nationally recognized nonprofit. Educators will work at the cutting edge of thinking and practice for girls’ social and emotional development; learn and practice the techniques of educational theater; and become certified GL freelance teachers.

The foundation of the GL curriculum is educational theatre. All interested educators should apply. We prefer applicants with experience teaching arts-integrated curricula.
