HIV Peer Educator – Institute for Family Health – New York, NY

Job description

The Institute for Family Health is seeking a part-time (15 hours a week) HIV peer educator to work as part of our interdisciplinary, patient-centered HIV care team. The Peer Educator will work to outreach and engage patients who are newly diagnosed, new to treatment or facing barriers to retention in care and treatment adherence. The Peer Educator will work closely with other team members to co-facilitate individual and group sessions, provide outreach, accompaniments and peer coaching, and provide a positive role model to patients. Individuals who have completed a peer program are strongly encouraged to apply. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
