Grants Manager – Civicorps Schools – Oakland, CA

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Grants Manager works closely with program and development staff and senior leaders to manage a $1M grants portfolio, ensure organizational effectiveness and compliance, help set relevant policies and provide technical assistance as required. Because this is a vital connector for the finance, development, and program staff, the successful applicant must possess the ability to see and understand all points of view.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Grants Manager is a critical role in a fast-changing organization. Under the supervision of Civicorps’ Director of Development and Community Engagement, the Grants Manager has three major responsibilities:

Oversees the financial and record-keeping side of the annual grant-making process for all Civicorps programs and for all grants received.
Works closely with the Development and Communication Manager, program staff, senior leaders and finance to ensure accurate financial reporting and procedural compliance on all grants, including government grants.
Writes new grants to support Civicorps mission. In addition some development administration duties will be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Work with appropriate departments to ensure that all grant terms and conditions are met
Work with appropriate departments to complete and submit all grant contracts and reports
Write mid-term and final grant reports
Write assigned Grant Letters of Intent and Proposals
Track revenue through Weekly Revenue Log and tracking reports for the finance department
Perform all other duties as required
