Assessment Manager – Global Nomads Group – New York, NY

GNG invites you to join our team as the Assessment Manager, a role that will support our three-year growth strategy, Global Connect. This strategy focuses on district and CMO adoption of our virtual exchange programs to fulfill our vision of providing every young person with the opportunity for meaningful cross-cultural exchange before graduation.

As our Assessment Manager, you will report to the US Director of Partnerships (DP), managing relationships and liaising between multiple parties at GNG. You will work cross-departmentally and internationally to ensure evaluation standards and techniques align and are correctly implemented.

Primary Responsibilities

Work closely with the DP to identify district and CMO assessment needs, and to develop and implement a plan to address them;
Support local and international partner organizations and schools as they implement program assessments;
Coordinate with an independent evaluation team to support the execution of an impact study;
Expand upon and improve GNG’s existing evaluation tools in order to integrate new benchmarks and better support reporting needs;
Support the Development Manager in incorporating benchmarks into grant applications and establishing evaluation frameworks for awarded grants;
Coordinate grant reporting by the Programs Team.

Who You Are

You have 3-5 years experience leading or participating in a team that has carried out assessments, understand how they are used in the education space, and are knowledgeable about best practices. You have a solid understanding of the US education system, especially Common Core standards (Next Generation Science Standards a plus!) and are interested in exploring how it connects to the international space. You know the assessment and evaluation vernacular, but love the challenge of expressing concepts in a variety of ways to be understood by different audiences. You are comfortable with evaluation tools and have perhaps created your own in the past. You are excited to work in the realms of education technology (edTech), virtual exchange, and international relations.
