Media Arts / Communications Intern – City Blossoms – Washington, DC

City Blossoms is a non-profit dedicated to kid-driven, community engaged, creative green spaces. If you would like to join us, we are currently accepting applications for our fall cycle of interns (September to December). Currently we are looking to fulfill the role of Media Arts and Communications Intern to document new and ongoing programming, work with other City Blossoms staff to bring art to gardens, and utilize communications skills to engage and strengthen volunteers and, in turn, our communities. Responsibilities will include:

– regularly documenting the progress of programming across the city using photo and video

– working with staff to record activities through writing for newsletters and other media

– promoting volunteer-driven events and workshops

– collaborating with existing and potential partners to develop volunteer events and celebrations

We are looking for highly motivated, outgoing, and organized candidates with a passion for community building, green spaces, and the arts. Spanish-speaking skills are highly desired. Interns are eligible to receive a stipend for completion of work. This position is for 18-20 hours of work.
