Indiana Jones of Information Management – DevResults – Washington, DC

Tech company in international development seeks international person of mystery who wants to change the world through better management and use of data.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Your job will be to boost the impact of international development projects by helping them use our data management software. You’ll have opportunities to travel internationally. This will involve:

Learning our data management software inside and out
Explaining how to wrangle information to fit our platform
Learning to instruct clients (onsite and remotely) to help them sort out their metrics and workflows to track progress
Training on our software and providing ongoing support
Developing help materials
Public speaking about our work
Once you’re a badass at all that, you’ll work with our data guru and sales lackey to scale up our training and implementations. We want to be the industry standard for data management. Do we need a consulting wing? A college of data? You’ll figure it out.

We’re looking for someone with big ideas who will also sweat the small stuff – someone who is exceptionally attentive to details and prepared to work hard. You’ll initially need to be in DC, but once you are up to speed, you’ll work when and where you want.

WHO WE ARE

We make DevResults, a web-based application for data management in international development. Our software is used by nonprofits and government agencies in over 60 countries. We intend for DevResults to revolutionize the way international development programs manage their work and measure their results.

We’re all good at what we do, and we enjoy working together. You’ll have autonomy and respect from day one. No regulations or hierarchy, just a lot of interesting and challenging work to get done. We’re a small team – you will be our ninth team member – so we all wear many hats.

We’re bootstrapped, we’re profitable, and we pay well. We’ve been solidly profitable for over a decade and are now entering a rapid growth phase. We offer great benefits including profit sharing, vacation, health insurance and retirement. We believe the best way to create a company is to hire smart, hard-working people and treat them very well.

We love what we do; we take pride in our work; we enjoy having clear real-world impact. This is an exciting time to be working at the intersection of data and international development, and we’re enthusiastic about DevResults’ current and future success.
