Graphic Designer – NextGen Climate – San Francisco, CA

SUMMARY

NextGen Climate’s digital department is currently seeking a Graphic Designer with 1-3 years of experience. The position requires a passion for confronting climate change, experience in print and web design, strong grasp of typography, and the ability to consistently produce beautiful, thoughtful, and innovative web, social graphics, and print design. This is a junior to mid level role, reporting to the Senior Designer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Create daily assets and social media graphics for Facebook, Twitter, and blog.

Support creative team in the production of large campaign projects, including but not limited to print collateral, digital ads, email, video, and landing pages.

Produce iterative design solutions for variety of media.

Participate in brainstorming with the team to set creative priorities for new digital properties and print deliverables.

Work closely with creative team to continue to evolve and define brand identity.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Bachelor’s degree

1-3 years of related experience

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

Experience with PowerPoint and Keynote presentations

Strong knowledge of typography, branding, and logo development

Strong understanding of UX design fundamentals

Skilled in CSS/HTML5 and WordPress

Consistency in producing quality work regardless of project size and time restraints

Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced, demanding environment
