Production Assistant – Informing Change – Berkeley, CA

THE POSITION

Informing Change is seeking a Production Assistant with a minimum of 1 year of experience to help us deliver compelling, easy-to-digest products to our nonprofit and foundation clients. The Production Assistant will provide branding, production, graphic design and communications support for the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Production Support

Format documents in accordance with company style guide
Proofread documents, including narrative text, budgets, graphics, etc.
Create graphics, including tables, charts, diagrams and infographics
Prepare presentations and information packets
Identify appropriate stock photos for web and print materials
Monitor and maintain files, font libraries and image collections
Able to take a master creative composition and lay it out into various sizes and formats while keeping the original intent of the approved creative intact
Interact and coordinate with various staff members to meet deadlines
Assist in producing reports and other marketing materials

Project Support

Work collaboratively with Project Assistants to support various projects; notetaking, scheduling interviews, data entry, internet research etc.

Administrative Support

Provide executive support to the President & CEO
Support Communications Coordinator with business development efforts
Provide backup coverage for reception and phones
Other duties as assigned

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Required

One or more years of professional experience in a similar or related position
Bachelor’s Degree required (or four years of experience performing this position’s requirements).
Ability to work independently and follow written edits and tracked changes as well as verbal instructions/feedback
Ability to handle a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to prioritize projects and deadlines
Skilled in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Illustrator and Outlook
Strong document formatting skills. Experience with Adobe Creative suite a plus
Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail; accuracy essential
Flexible; able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
Ability to work under the direction of managers with diverse styles.
Excellent written communication skills, including editing for spelling and grammar accuracy

Desirable Skills

Experience producing infographics
Experience working with philanthropy and/or nonprofits
Experience with marketing, communication and publications (both print and web)

Salary commensurate with experience
