Fundraising Specialist – Damnok Toek – Cambodia

Role and responsibilities
As the Fundraising Specialist, you will be responsible for managing relations with a wide range of multilateral donor agencies, trusts and foundations, government agencies, corporations, embassies, and private donors of Damnok Toek’s portfolio. You will work closely with the Head of Programmes and coordinate with different teams on project level to prepare grant proposals and strengthen the relationship with the donor base. Your excellent communication (mainly in English), budgeting and writing skills (particularly for donor proposals/-reports), your knowledge of project cycle management and Logical Framework analysis will be an important asset to the fundraising team in:
· Maintaining and cultivating relationships with Damnok Toek’s institutional and private donors and coordinating donor project visits.
· Actively identifying potential new donors that align with DT’s values, mission and current project needs through networking and relationship-building.
· Developing new proposals and funding submissions following each donors’ requirements, in close collaboration with the Head of Programmes and the project coordinators.
· Assisting in the elaboration and contributing to the annual funding plan, with a special focus on diversifying and securing stable funding sources.
· Together with the Head of Finance and Fundraising, develop and implement a long-term Fundraising Strategy Plan for the organisation.
· Overseeing grant-compliance and achievement of indicators and goals and inform of any deviances to Head of Finance and Fundraising and Head of Programmes.
· Travel regularly to project sites to develop reports for donors and liaising with M&E Lead and project teams to ensure that all reports are of quality and submitted in a timely manner.
· Collaborating closely with the Communication Officer for promoting the organisation, in line with the fundraising strategy, particularly exploring new funding options such as individual donors and corporate partnerships.
· Networking and attending relevant events for exploring potential donors and partners.
· Perform other tasks as assigned by the Head of Funding and Fundraising.
Staff reporting to the Fundraising Specialist: No direct staff supervision, but intentional networking and collaborating with project teams and departments is essential.

Position requirement/qualification
· Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, or relevant experience
· At least 3 years’ experience in fundraising, with a positive track record managing grants from diverse donor portfolio
· Computer literate: competency in Microsoft Office and collaborative work tools
· Fluency in written and verbal English, Khmer language skill is an advantage
· Strong planning skills, time management and analytical abilities, with attention to details
· Dynamic, honest and positive attitude, works as a team member, ability to work under pressure, interpersonal communication skills
· Prior experience in organisations working with children and vulnerable families will be valued.
· Respect the child protection policy and no prior offences in regard to children
