Database Coordinator – Non GMO Project – Bellingham, WA

The Database Coordinator is responsible for the overall content and support for the Non-GMO Project’s CRM systems. This position is responsible for coordinating and executing data integrity from item creation to enriched content, as well as collecting and inputting data into common formats and databases; this data is used directly by internal and external customers. The successful candidate is not necessarily a technologist, but a person with a broad understanding of the organization and its needs, someone who will be a go-to person for all users, is a skilled project manager, is proficient in using online technology and has the curiosity and expertise to implement and maintain organization wide data mapping.

This position will work with internal departments and external constituents (i.e. Quality Assurance, Client Services, Marketing & Communications, Standards and Technical Administration partners and other external stakeholders). This position will report to the Quality Assurance Director.

Responsibilities

Project manage implementation of a Salesforce CRM solution for the Marketing Department
Transition Marketing Department from CiviCRM to Salesforce
Work with appropriate department and consultant in collecting information to plan and manage work flow in timely completion, including report preparation on status and process management
Enter and maintain complete contact and product information, including but not limited to descriptions, UPC codes, attributes, images, links, etc. in appropriate systems/applications;

○ Ecert (Product Descriptor Database)

○ CiviCRM and/or Salesforce (Industry Data Warehouse)

○ WordPress (Non-GMO, Living Non-GMO and Non-GMO Month Websites)

Creation of training guides for internal and external stakeholders (i.e. staff and technical administrators)
Creation of Database Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Provide timely and accurate maintenance of the databases for all defined needs, including tracking approval process and change history
Interface and coordinate efforts between various departments for data integrity across all systems
Use support tools and processes for data entry / data consistency verification
Insure data aligns to current structure needs, industry standards and best practices for various databases
Propose database improvements to support and align with organizational growth
Test system enhancements and changes
Drive consistency and continuous improvement of data content and processes
Provide reporting and analysis as it relates to data integrity and current projects

Qualifications

2 year degree with an area of study in technical business administration, marketing, computer science, or similar discipline
Excellent business analysis and project management skills
Training and experience with IT and database systems; IT background to include mySQL query experience and working knowledge of CSS and HTML
PHP knowledge
Drupal CMS experience is a major asset
Strong working knowledge of CRMs, particularly Salesforce
Two to four years of database development experience using SQL Databases
Must understand the importance and benefits of good data quality
Detail oriented, ability to troubleshoot problems as they arise
Superior project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects at the same time to defined timelines
Strong technical and analytical skills, with proficiency in advanced Excel, Access, Word, WordPress, Woofoo, and web enabled business tools, ability to data-mine and develop reports
Critical thinker with experience problem solving in a dynamic environment
Professional presence, with excellent verbal and written skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently, think analytically, meet given deadlines and take initiative on multiple projects
Previous experience in an end-user technical support role
Ability to effectively communicate complex problems, learn / understand product offering to drive data content maintenance and enhancements
Experience working with non-profits very desirable
