Administrative Assistant – Washington Wild – Seattle, WA

Washington Wild (WW) protects and restores wild lands and waters in Washington State through advocacy, education and civic engagement. Founded in 1979, WW is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to building environmentally informed citizens committed to preserving our wild lands and waters for generations to come.

Summary of Position:

The Administrative Assistant will provide support to the Development and Communications Director and Brewshed® Program Manager at Washington Wild in a wide variety of tasks. This person will become an integral member of a small team working within the strategic goals for membership, development, events- including Brewshed® and other strategic goals. They will be responsible for membership documentation and record keeping, helping to grow membership, assisting with the Annual Auction, assisting with Brewshed® events and other assigned tasks.

The Administrative Assistant position is a part time entry level position estimated to be temporary for 3 to 6 months while the organization undergoes transition. A permanent full time position may be considered at that time depending on organizational need.

Responsibilities:

Assist Development Director with membership development and donor research as needed
Enter data, generate lists, and other management or use of electronic database as directed
Prepare and send out thank you letters and other relevant donor contact
Prepare bulk mail mailings
Assist in the generation of social media content including blogs, photos and general posts
Process check and credit card donations and create correlated deposits in a timely fashion
Provide leadership and organization for auction item procurement as primary staff member
Assist with annual auction processes and duties as necessary
Provide support for Brewshed® events as needed and potentially in a leadership capacity
Drafting or editing membership communications as requested
Assist in management of website maintenance and posts as assigned
Office administration tasks organizing the office, answering phones, and ordering office supplies as needed
Carry out tasks as assigned by Development and Communications Director and Brewshed® Program Manager

Experience with WordPress, SalesForce, ebase and / or FileMaker Pro a plus
