RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

The Administrative Assistant will provide principal administrative support for our nine-person, non-profit leadership development organization in downtown San Francisco. Duties will require knowledge of office routines, operations, and procedures and an eagerness to jump in and help our people and programs operate smoothly. In return, you’ll be part of a dedicated and collaborative team developing emerging leaders to serve the public good.

The Administrative Assistant will perform:

General office work including maintain records, handle requests for information, copy and file materials, maintain records, record meeting minutes, mail materials, answer phones, order supplies, operate and trouble-shoot office equipment, as well as organize and maintain an orderly office, supply room and kitchen.
Specific tasks
Communications: play a lead role in updating Salesforce; maintain and update CORO’s promotional materials; send emails using an email management program; post items to website
Program assistance: assist staff in preparing for seminars and events, including printing and sending documents, ordering materials, arranging meetings
Event management and execution: send invitations and track responses; plan, buy and set-up food and supplies; manage sign-in and meeting materials; organize set-up and clean-up duties with staff assistance
Development/fundraising: assist in executing fundraising campaigns and events: manage email merges and distribution; organize and distribute documents
Assist the CEO and staff as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to create, compose, and edit correspondence and reports.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Ability to work harmoniously with staff and program participants and contribute to the organizational culture of collaboration.
Capable of maintaining composure, flexibility, and efficiency during crunch times.
Able to maintain concentration during repetitive work for an extended period of time.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and Salesforce.
Experience with Microsoft Publisher preferred.
Ability to take and transcribe accurate minutes.
Strong project management skills, including planning, prioritizing and executing multiple tasks with attention to detail.
On the softer side, a high degree of self-awareness and a sense of humor will help you fit in with our team.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years progressively responsible administrative assistant experience.

COMPENSATION

Between $32,000 – $37,500, depending on skills and experience. CORO Northern California offers fully covered health, vision and dental insurance. Additional benefits include: Commuter, Health Flexible Spending, Paid Vacation, Sick and additional time off, and 403B matching (up to 5% after the first year of employment).
