Programming Officer, LGBT Organization – Reaching Out MBA Inc – Boston, MA

Position Overview:

To support the continued growth of our organization, Reaching Out MBA is seeking a Programming Officer. The Programming Officer will work on the development, promotion and execution of programming for the organization’s core initiatives, including aspects of the annual ROMBA Conference. The Position will also serve as the project manager for the online and offline development and launch of the organization’s individual member program.

We’re looking for an emerging leader who is passionate about social justice, capable seeing a big-picture vision and suggesting innovations to programming & operations that will help the organization achieve its mission, but isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty in the little steps we need to take to get there. Responsibilities

Programming Development & Strategy

Alongside Executive Director, develop a 3-year vision for online and offline programming that enhances the organization’s new membership initiative.
With Director of Development identify opportunities to incorporate corporate partners into programming while staying true to the organization’s mission.
Ideate new opportunities for programming around the organization central mission to educate, inspire and connect LGBT business students and professionals.
Develop online content marketing strategies for event promotion.

Tactical Execution

Project manage the launch of the organization’s association model for a launch in Spring 2016.
Support the Director of Development in managing corporate partners’ involvement with events and content.
Serve as main point of contact for school club based programming, including the Friendfactor MBA Ally competition and LGBT MBA club calls
Liaise with Event Producer to identify creative ways to contains event costs while maintaining content quality for ROMBA Conference
Research, identify and evaluate potential speakers for both large and small events.
Develop external communications aligned with program strategies including social media, solicitation materials, and other collateral.

Indirect responsibilities

Possess up-to-date awareness of program priorities throughout the LGBT community, aligning programmatic and partnership efforts with the most significant needs on campus, in the workplace, and abroad.
Identify opportunities within the greater LGBT community, business and education communities for Reaching Out representatives to attend and/or speak
Provide editorial direction and content for external communications including social media, solicitation materials, and other collateral.
