Marketing Coordinator – Non GMO Project – Bellingham, WA

Join the Non-GMO Project team and help build a non-GMO future! The Non-GMO Project is seeking an organized, creative professional to join our team as a full-time Marketing Coordinator to help us implement impactful marketing and communications campaigns.

The successful candidate will be a strong project manager, writer and editor with experience in social media, and have graphic design experience. Must have the ability to be proactive and able to stay on task with multiple projects and shifting deadlines. Preference will be given to candidates who have a demonstrated interest in helping to protect the future of the North American food supply.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

Create engaging content for multiple platforms, including social media, electronic newsletters and websites
Create and execute social media plans that meet the organization’s objectives
Create and coordinate production of digital and printed materials
Keep website content current using WordPress and Drupal interfaces
Design handouts, outreach materials, infographics, and exciting online images
Project management of websites, outside contractors and creative projects
Develop and maintain social media content strategy
Track, analyze and report marketing efforts across platforms

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 2-4 years related professional experience, or relevant educational degree
Experience in developing and implementing creative programming
Demonstrated experience with printed and digital communications
Excellent writing skills and success writing for a blog or other professional publication
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, ability to resize and optimize photos for social media and to create engaging graphics for social media posts and printed collateral.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong editing experience
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to interface successfully with a wide range of stakeholders, and problem solve with diplomacy
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with Dropbox, Google Drive and other organizational technology (Smartsheets, etc.)
Ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects in an energetic and fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and think creatively, combined with a willingness to take direction and be a team player
Working knowledge of the organic and natural products industry, including familiarity with major brands and organizations is a plus
Must be able to work on site in Bellingham, WA
Strong preference will be given to candidates who are familiar with the GMO issue and have a sincere interest in helping to protect the future of the North American food supply
