Marketing / Communications – Developments In Literacy – Irvine, CA

Developing and maintaining DIL’s integrated communications functions, including:

developing & maintaining materials for web and print;

meeting event marketing needs of chapters & affiliates;

designing and executing direct appeals;

maximizing impact of social media;

growing DIL’s viral fundraising;

creating multimedia presentations, videos and slide shows from stock footage; and

assisting in launching a targeted public relations campaign to present the work DIL does to members of the press.

Marketing & Communications

Take a leading role in developing DIL’s communications plan, including redesign of its print and web materials.

Generate copy, design and manage the printing of a variety of communications tools including quarterly newsletters, direct appeals & periodic e-mail blasts.

Day-to-day maintaining of DIL’s website and Facebook pages i.e generating, uploading and disseminating content.

Regular updates to DIL’s Twitter feed and YouTube channel.

Collaborating with DIL chapters & affiliates to meet their communication needs.

Designing promotional materials (gala invites, special campaigns, etc.).

Creating presentation materials to be used at galas & events.

Public Relations

Generating press releases and engaging with members of the news media.

Viral Fundraising

Generating reports and multi-media content to support viral fundraising platforms.
