Global Partnerships Manager – BizCorps – Washington, DC

Position Overview:The Global Partnerships Manager will play an essential leadership role for BizCorps, serving as a bridge between BizCorps Colombia, BizCorps Global, and the multiple global organizations whose partnerships will be critical to BizCorps’ ability to achieve its mission. The Global Partnerships Manager will work closely with both the Chairman and the BizCorps Colombia Country Manager to drive BizCorps’ global talent sourcing strategy and partnerships, to improve and oversee the talent matching process, to design and implement the global marketing and communications strategy, and to drive global fundraising and other forms of global partnership development and management. Although this position will be based out of Washington, D.C., frequent domestic and international travel may be required. Successful candidates should be fully bilingual in English and Spanish at a professional level.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Sourcing & Partnerships Development

Research new potential sources of high-quality global talent, including international corporations, consulting firms, and graduate programs.
Initiate conversations with potential talent sourcing partners and collect and analyze information related to the quality, characteristics, skill sets, level of experience, and likely demand for participation of potential talent pools.
In coordination with the Chairman and Country Manager, evaluate and prioritize potential talent sources and develop a new talent sourcing & partnerships strategy for the organization.
Negotiate contracts/arrangements with talent sourcing partners and manage these relationships

Talent Recruitment & Matching

Develop an annual recruitment calendar and establish recruitment targets by talent category and time period, in coordination with the Chairman and Country Manager.
Revise/improve talent selection criteria based on continuing learning and feedback from clients and local partners.
Define and manage the recruitment process, from advertising and promoting the opportunity through initial screening, interviews, and final candidate selection.
In coordination with the Chairman and Country Manager, refine the candidate-client matching process, oversee candidate-client interviews, and make final matching decisions.
In cases where an initial match is unsuccessful, work with Country Manager to reassign talent, if possible.

Program Design & Elaboration

In close coordination with the Chairman and Country Manager, support the design and scheduling of orientation and onboarding activities.
In close coordination with the Chairman and Country Manager, design annual program calendar for Associates and create or outsource the necessary orientation curriculum and/or training materials.
Building on work done to-date, further define and document BizCorps’ core program processes and policies.
In close coordination with the Chairman and Country Manager, disseminate process and policy guidance to program participants and monitor compliance.

Global Partnerships Development

Research new potential sources of external funding or other kinds of support, including local or international government agencies, international corporations, academic institutions, consulting/professional services firms, development agencies, foundations, nonprofit organizations, and/or academic institutions.
Initiate conversations with potential funding or support partners and collect and analyze information related to what potential partners can offer and how partnerships might be structured.
In coordination with the Chairman, evaluate and prioritize potential funding and support sources and develop a global partnerships strategy for the organization.
Complete proposals/applications for global funding, ensuring that key messages used for global proposals are consistent with messaging being used for fundraising and business development within Colombia
Negotiate contracts/arrangements with global partners and manage these relationships, working closely with the founder where appropriate.

Global Communications & Marketing

In support of finding and developing talent and other global partnerships, create a global communications & marketing strategy in coordination with the Chairman and Country Manager.
Design global marketing materials for promoting BizCorps’ program to potential talent and to potential financial or support partners.
Generate written reports with relevant graphs, tables, and charts to communicate market findings and success stories with the internal team and partner organizations.
Design a process and framework for capturing BizCorps’ global marketing and communications effectiveness to-date.
Create and/or source and maintain content for BizCorps’ website and other social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.), ensuring information is relevant and current and that content is accessible in both English and Spanish.
Represent BizCorps globally at public functions on an as-needed basis.

Position Requirements:

Education. Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in communications, marketing, business, or other relevant field. Graduate degree in business or marketing highly preferred.

Experience. At least six years of relevant professional work experience in marketing, strategy, business development, international economic development, fundraising, or communication roles. Demonstrated ability to build strong networks and professional partnerships. Expertise in designing fundraising strategies and managing donor relationships. Supervisory experience and emerging market experience required. Experience working and/or living in Latin America highly preferred.

Skills. Successful candidates will possess most, if not all of the following:

Effective communication skills (verbal, written, reading) in English and Spanish. Must be fully bilingual at a professional level.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
Highly developed strategy, marketing, and project management skills
Highly developed people skills (communication, leadership, and change management)
Proficiency with CRM software (such as Salesforce)
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
