Trashion Fashion’s mission is to promote creative reuse of waste in our society by challenging individuals to create wearable art with items diverted from the waste stream. Our mission is to contribute toward a global reduction of waste through creative solutions.
Part-time Community Coordinator Intern

Length of time: January-June 2016

Pay: None

Location: Option to work remotely but it’s preferred that you can attend meetings within the Greater Hartford region (Connecticut).

Description:

The Trashion Fashion Show Hartford Community Coordinator intern should be interested in making and maintaining meaningful connections.

Responsibilities:

Working under and communicating directing with Trashion Fashion’s founder.
Helping to create partnerships with schools and like-minded organizations.
Assisting organizing our community projects.
Working directly with Team Trashion Fashion on our events.
Helping secure in-kind donations for events.
Attending local community events to cross promote and pollinate Trashion Fashion.
Recruiting and organize event volunteers

Must Have:

A desire to work for an eco and arts focused social good company
A passion for sustainability
A love for organization, especially with using cloud based systems such as Google Drive and DropBox
Good verbal and written skills
