Financial and Operations Managers – The Giving Back Fund – Los Angeles

Financial Management
Day-to-day responsibility for the Giving Back Fund’s Accounting and Finance needs (accounts payable and receivables management, bookkeeping, and reconciliation).
Implement updated processes and systems in consultation with senior staff, resulting in updated Operations Manuals and staff training.
Assist Foundation Managers in resolving regular queries in a timely manner.
Support additional financial and operational duties, as needed.
Operations Management
Effectively manage and maintain our current operational systems and processes ensuring our smooth daily operations.
Manage internal systems to ensure that they meet the organizational needs and partnering in sourcing new solutions that drive excellence in performance
Be a creative and important lead in process implementation and support the crucial effort to drive an organizational culture
Proactively engage with employees and external senior consultants to improve working relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Assess organizational needs and recommend staff development measures for the organization and work with Senior Leadership to implement successfully.

Qualifications:
Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics preferred. (We will consider experience in lieu of a degree.)
2-5 years Operational and Finance background, preferably in a non-profit or philanthropy environment.
Experience managing multiple projects and meeting multiple deadlines while also being able to communicate when changes are needed.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a high level of detail orientation and an ability to multi task
Comfort and experience in managing and addressing people and process challenges. Flexibility with rotating priorities.
Must be able to work independently, as a team leader, and as part of a team.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, (written and verbal) to influence through listening, writing, and presenting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to find creative solutions to cultural, administrative and/or organizational challenges.
Achievement focused. A positive driver for results and goal-oriented by holding people accountable while helping them to achieve goals.
