Program Director – Refugee Focus – Phoenix, AZ

Lead the development and implementation of operational and growthstrategies and tactics of the Tucson Refugee Focus and coordinate/communicate status with Division Director.

Lead, manage, and direct the Tucson Refugee Focus within the standardsand requirements set forth by the funding sources and mission of LSS-SW.This includes supervision of Tucson program staff.

Respond to both new and renewal requests for proposals to maintain andexpand programmatic services and funding sources.

Develop program budgets and manage/monitor program finances accordingto policy and procedures. Ensure compliance with standards and requirements set forth by funding sources and to meet agency quality measures.

Cooperate and coordinate with other agencies that provide services torefugees, asylees and other immigrants.

Recruit, hire, orient, train, and develop staff according to policy and procedure.

Advocate for the program by educating local communities and churchesabout the program and related issues.

Maintains records, compiles statistics, and prepares detailed andcomprehensive reports on clients and services provided

Masters Degree in social work, psychology, sociology or a closely related field is preferred. A Bachelor’s Degree combined with at least four years related social service experience, preferably working with immigrant populations, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for a Masters Degree.
