Job Title: Solstice Behavioral Health (SBH) Program Director
Job Summary: Oversees and directs the Behavioral Health program in all areas; ensures continuous cultivation of the program’s development, client growth; while overseeing and maintaining current KCRSN policies, regulations, and quality of service provided throughout the program; while also administering to community mental health, service coordination and Outreach Services.
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer
FLSA Status: Exempt

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of the job:

1. Continuously seeks opportunities that will lead to program growth in the Behavioral Health field by exploring a range of funding sources available to fund Behavioral Health services;
2. Oversees the program staffing needs, staff supervision, conducting interviews when needed, addressing staff performance issues while consulting with the program manager and the human resource department;
3. Ensures that staff performance evaluations are completed thoroughly and in a timely manner, in accordance to Full Life policy;
4. Coordinates with the program manager to ensure successful outcomes at time of program audit;
5. Provides training and consultation to Full Life Care staff as requested by the Executive Director, Operations Manager, and/or other Program Managers;
6. Oversees and ensures the financial viability of the program;
7. Leads exploratory efforts related to grant opportunities for funding of the behavioral health/mental health services;
8. Collaborates with outside Behavioral Health/Mental Health programs, RSN, graduate schools and personnel in order to enhance SBH services and expansion into the community;
9. Will assist the program manager with program development endeavors;, including researching best practices in the mental health field.
10. Establishes a professional, compassionate and respectful environment by practicing good communication skills; keeping client information confidential; conducting self in professional manner;
11. Maintains a safe and healthy environment by adhering to infection control protocols; addressing potential safety and health hazards; following emergency policy and procedures; and fulfilling education and certification requirements;
12. Ensure program staff maintain required documentation to meet WAC guidelines and Full Life Care policy;
13. Participate in shared on-call responsibilities;

Educational Requirements Needed to Perform the Duties of the Job:
1. Master’s Degree in related field i.e. Social Work Psychology, or a correlating Mental Health field of studies;
2. Must be Licensed by the Washington State Department of Health to provide Mental Health Service;
3. Must have five or more years of mental health experience;
4. Strong preference for Geriatric Mental Health Specialist, experience working with KCRSN, WA State Approved Supervisor for licensure.
