DESCRIPTION
Equitas Academy provides a structured, achievement-based community that prepares students to graduate from four-year colleges and universities. We currently operate two elementary schools and two middle schools, with more schools opening in the near future.
Talent Manager
We are seeking to identify a talent manager to support our efforts to dramatically increase the strength of our talent pipeline as we continue to grow and serve more students and staff members. The ideal candidate for this role has a deeply developed passion for the people that serve our students and their development, an experienced skillset around recruiting and selecting high quality talent, and proven results in a face-paced environment. This person will model zest for the people that make Equitas Academy great and plant seeds of curiosity and continuous improvement towards the mission of the organization.
The talent manager will play a pivotal role in our efforts to build, develop and sustain the talent required to achieve our organization’s goals, will lead the organization’s teacher recruitment efforts including sourcing and cultivating a highly-talented and diverse candidate pool, and will work as part of a growing talent team.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop new and improve upon current systems and strategies for attracting, selecting, and hiring the best teachers and staff
Maintain accurate and current internal and external job descriptions and postings on various sites
Support our ability to make data-driven talent decisions; identify the data we need, collect, analyze and make meaning from that data
Participate in recruitment and selection processes (recruiting events, interviews, etc.)
Source a strong pool of candidates based on hiring needs and qualifications
Update marketing, recruitment, and presentation materials
Develop an ambitious recruitment campaign that includes high visibility marketing, email campaigns, and the use of social media and other marketing tools
Promote the referral bonus program to encourage internal referrals
Serve as a representative of Equitas Academy at recruitment fairs, university presentations, and other events
Utilize the applicant tracking system to screen applications and conduct first round interviews
Support scheduling and preparing materials for group interview days and other selection processes
Ensure our school culture and mission is effectively communicated in person and through media
Support the management of the network website and school websites
Lead strategic initiatives to support goals related to talent acquisition (e.g. increase diversity of talent pipeline), talent development, retention, and culture
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Strong belief in our mission to support all of our scholars to and through college
Demonstrated success in recruiting, preferably in an education environment
Demonstrated ability to manage people and teams
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to transition quickly from individual, detail oriented projects to collaborative, people-oriented conversations
Strong people skills; ability to serve as ambassador and spokesperson for the organization and articulate our mission to external constituents
Strong project management skills
Self-starter with a proven ability to meet and complete multiple tasks with solid deadlines
Supportive, customer service orientation toward employees
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum 3 years experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, sales, and/or marketing; 4-5 years preferred
Previous teaching experience or experience in education a plus
Experience using an applicant tracking system
