Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Coordinator of Operations of Relay GSE New York is a pivotal member of the Teaching Faculty and the Regional Operations teams. In his or her support of the Teaching Faculty, the Coordinator of Operations will ensure that the Relay GSE New York campus runs seamlessly for its graduate students and its staff. The Coordinator of Operations will work closely with the Assistant Dean, the Director of Operations, the Managers of Operations, and other operational colleagues. Facilitating cross-team communication and operations, this individual will play an integral role in ensuring our program is preparing excellent public school teachers to serve high-need schools in New York City.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with the Director of Operations, New York, the Assistant Dean, the Content Leadership Team, and Managers of Operations to ensure systematic, proactive, and efficient regional operations
Work with the Director of Operations and the Managers of Operations in New York to gather market data and set a strategic plan that is responsive to partners’ needs
Execute the tactical action steps coming out of meetings with Assistant Dean, Associate Deans, Managers of Operations, and Content Leads
Support all aspects of Core and Content MAT programming including, but not limited to: instructor supply requests, Course Platform anomalies, program facilities, roster reconciliation, data integrity/maintenance, program enrollments, grouping assignments, tutorials & electives coordination, and facilitation
Work strategically with the Content Team to improve the execution of our weeknight content days and the quality and efficiency of our Saturday programming
Coordinate, and execute all logistics for all weeknight and Saturday class sessions, including setting up classrooms and supplies, managing support staff, and communicating to graduate students and instructors
Work closely with the Operations Team, New York and Relay’s Shared Services teams, including Enrollment Services, Student Financial Services, Technology, and Curriculum Design to execute responsive, integrated program support for graduate students
First and foremost, the Coordinator of Operations of Relay GSE New York must share the team’s sense of urgency about the need to improve student achievement through phenomenal teacher training. Additionally, candidates for the position must have the following:
At least 1 – 2 years of work experience; teaching experience a plus
A demonstrated interest in urban education and/or operations
Strong project management skills paired with the ability to synthesize information from a variety of sources
Acute attention to detail and a focus on efficiency and systems building
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work efficiently, intensely, and within an entrepreneurial environment
A demonstrated passion for urban education and closing the opportunity gap
Authorized to work in the United States
