Development Intern – Union Settlement Association – New York, NY

Internship Description: Union Settlement’s Development Department seeks a highly motivated, self-starter who is eager to learn the inner-workings of a development office in a large social service organization. This internship will cover all aspects of a development and communications team, including grant research, major donor research, administrative tasks, social media strategies, and various design projects. Ideal candidates are motivated, curious, and flexible.
Key responsibilities include:

Collecting information for grants;
Researching potential major donors;
Assisting in the execution of volunteer events;
Collaborating on social media strategies;
Other duties, as needed.

Qualifications:

College senior or graduate student;
Experience in an office environment;
Ability to learn quickly;
Design experience preferable;
Flexibility;
Desire to work with an underserved population.
