Administrative Manager – Cure Alzheimer’s Fund – Wellesley, MA

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

Position Overview

The Administrative Manager is the primary fulltime administrative staff member of the Foundation, responsible for maintaining office systems, supplies, and support for the Foundation staff.


Maintenance of a highly professional and efficient office.
Well-functioning office systems with no down time.
Assurance of professional written communications and presentations by office staff.
Courteous, professional presence for internal and external constituencies.


Create a key and integral administrative role in a lean, innovative organization that is committed to growth in support of world class Alzheimer’s disease research.


Manage office systems including telephone, internet, copy machines and the physical facility.
Manage relationships with vendors and providers of those systems for fast and efficient service.
Provide first-line IT support for Foundation staff.
Manage effective inventory control and storage of office supplies and marketing collateral material.
Provide assistance to staff in preparing written communications and presentations.
Provide assistance to staff for Foundation events.
Manage calendar and travel arrangements for staff and board members.
Mail opening and logging.
Primary telephone answering.
Primary liaison with Board member and researcher administrators.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Required

Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
Mastery of basic office technology and computer skills including use of WORD, Excel, PowerPoint.
Strong written and oral communication skills including demonstrated ability to write clearly and edit for grammar, syntax and content.
Experience in a fast moving, entrepreneurial environment.
Ability to be flexible, maintain a good sense of humor, desire to contribute to team effort.
Appropriate and relevant educational background.
Strong references.

Qualifications, Preferred

Administrative management experience in a complex environment.
Familiarity with medical research or science support.
Bachelor’s degree or relevant educational credential.
