Program Coordinator, Oral & Behavioral Health – Washington Association of Community & Migrant Health Centers – Olympia, WA

The Program Coordinator, Oral and Behavioral Health, is the lead staff person to provide support to the Dental Committee and the Behavioral Health Committee of the WACMHC Board of Directors. In addition to managing the agenda and annual work plans of each committee in coordination with the chairperson, the program coordinator implements the staff led elements of the work plans including data collection, facilitating the delivery of training and technical assistance and the sharing of best practices across the CHCs. The Program Coordinator is the staff to the active Dental Learning Network, a quarterly forum funded by the Washington Dental Service Foundation to convene all the CHC dental directors for the purpose of improving CHC dental programs to deliver quality outcomes for patients.

Essential Duties

Serves as staff to the Board’s Dental Committee & Behavioral Health Committee to coordinate monthly committee meetings and the work of the committee
Coordinates the Dental Director Learning Network which enables CHC Dental Directors to develop the leadership, organizational, and evidence-based skills necessary to bring about improvements in the oral health care delivered by CHCs in Washington
Manages additional projects related to oral and behavioral health as assigned.
Leads and manages quarterly Dental Metrics data collection, analysis, and reporting for statewide and individual community health centers
Conceptualizes and leverages connections among multiple projects and stakeholders to achieve the goals of the Board, Dental Committee, Behavioral Health Committee and WACMHC
Maintains relationships with individual CHC dental directors and staff through site visits and virtual communication to understand ongoing TA/training needs and influence participation in the Dental Director Learning Network and other improvement activities.
Manages oral health program contracts deliverables and budgets and works with contractors’ staff to accomplish common goals
Participates as a member of National Network for Oral Health Access
Prepares oral and behavioral health services reports for federal /private grantor and Board
Participates in organization-wide work plan to achieve Board strategic goals and HRSA grant requirements
Maintain oral health services web page on the website
Represents Association in state and national level meetings that pertain to oral and behavioral health services as assigned by WACMHC management team
Maintains awareness of state policies that affect CHC dental & behavioral health programs
Participates on organization-wide projects as requested


Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred in public health, health administration, public administration or related field.

Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Experience managing committees, workgroups or related stakeholder processes
Demonstrated organizational skills
Proficiency in collecting, managing and displaying data
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
Intermediate level mastery of Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of using data to drive quality improvement in a primary care setting
Experience developing and administering surveys using Survey Monkey
Experience in meeting event planning and facilitation including virtual meetings
Knowledge of training needs assessments, program evaluation or adult education principles
Commitment to the Community Health Center mission
