The Senior Director of Resource Development will lead the development of a national philanthropic, corporate and individual investment strategy and establish a robust investment management process to support our fund development strategy. Working with the Chief Strategy Officer, the SDSI will support the development and execution of a multi-year strategic plan and develop the resource pipeline necessary for success. They will develop and execute fiscal year Fund Development Plans, to include donor acquisition, prospect research, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies to increase revenues in support of Equal Opportunity Schools and its mission.

Lead the overall resource development and donor strategy that enables us to reach our short- and long-term revenue targets.
Develop, assess, and recommend strategies for achieving investment targets.
Define and manage an investment pipeline, including setting up the operational structure to do so, that names the key stages of donor/funder engagement and a set of department actions in response.
Manage relationships with EOS marketing team to ensure that our marketing content meets its key
audience, including the suite of resources that we distribute throughout the investment pipeline.
Develop and gain approval for an annual income and expenditure budget for the fund development program
Monitor development expenses and analyze budget reports on fundraising; recommend changes and adapt as necessary
Prepare regular reports on progress, budgets, receipts and expenditure related to fundraising and the management of the fund development activities
Formulate/maintain VIP cultivation, communications, solicitations, and follow up strategies
Develop our online fundraising system capabilities, and develop and maintain a prospect profile, strategy and tracking/priority system
Desired Skills & Experiences:
At least seven years’ experience in a similar role
Demonstrable track record of Strategic Fundraising/Resource Generation
Successful, significant and relevant achievement at management level in a comparable
Experience of utilizing the strength of an organization brand for philanthropic/business development
Proven track record of meeting challenging income targets
Proven ability to build, manage and develop key stakeholder, client and donor relationships.
Proven track record in fundraising that has directly resulted in increased income for an organization
Knowledge of the fundraising environment and of a range techniques and disciplines which will support the cost-effective generation of income for EOS
Ability to create and manage an individual giving strategy
Experience of developing and implementing strategic and business plans
Track record of bringing innovative creative thinking to an organization and/ or its services.
Exceptionally convincing and persuasive written and oral skills with the ability to present and convey complex ideas and issues clearly and coherently
