Manager of Policy and Advocacy Campaigns – US Campaign for Palestinian Rights – Washington

Responsibilities include:
Development and implementation of campaigns to achieve the organization’s policy priorities through advocacy with elected officials.
Cultivating and building powerful relationships with key policymakers and stakeholders in DC to advance our policy agenda.
Cultivating key relationships with progressive policy organizations and building coalitions to further our national campaigns and advance national transformative legislation
Collaboratively developing policy analysis and concepts in support of USCPR campaigns and strategic priorities with staff and partners
Helping organize opportunities to bring grassroots partners in contact with Members of Congress and other policymakers.
Rapid response to policy and advocacy developments on the national level.
Engaging in public speaking, writing, and media work with direction from the Communications Director.
Supporting the Director of Organizing and Advocacy in implementation of C4 arm of organization

Qualifications include:
At least 2 years experience in policy and/or electoral work
Some experience in electoral politics and/or C4-related programs
Strong knowledge of and experience building relationships with national, state and local organizational players engaged in foreign policy and/or social justice advocacy
Experience organizing in/with communities of color and/or building progressive organizing efforts, particularly in Black, Latinx, and/or Indigenous communities
Understanding of grassroots and grasstops organizing
Ability to juggle multiple streams of work, prioritize, and problem solve
Strong people skills and exceptional team player
Effective communicator—both written and oral
Willingness and ability to travel
Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage details, work independently, and follow through with a minimum of direct supervision
Demonstrated commitment to USCPR’s mission, vision, and principles

Skills desired but not required:
Strong understanding of legal parameters for electoral organizing in both 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) contexts.
