International Program Coordinator – German Programs – NorthWest Student Exchange – Seattle, WA

NWSE invites qualified candidates to submit their application materials now for our International Program Coordinator position, primarily responsible for exchange programs for German-speaking exchange students.

Responsibilities include:

Ensuring student and host family program success and enjoyment
Coordinating programs in compliance with CSIET and Department of State regulations
Working with host families, students, schools and local coordinators to coordinate and monitor program activities
Coordinating Exchange Programs primarily for German-speaking high school exchange students, as well as for students of NWSE’s partners in Eurasian countries
Customer-friendly and professional communication with clients and potential clients
Problem solving with clients and other program stakeholders
Collaborating with NWSE team members on projects, program compliance, orientations and cultural events
Accurately organizing and managing program documentation and records
Screening students via interviews, review of applications and communication with overseas partners
Screening host families via review of applications and communication with NWSE local coordinators

Minimum Qualifications:

Relevant experience in a similar or related position that requires strong customer service, communication, program coordination, organizational and common office application skills
Commitment to the goals of student exchange, cultural learning, program success and student safety
Four-year college degree, preferably in a related international field
Fluent German speaking and writing skills
Relevant experience living, studying and/or working abroad
Experience working in a multi-tasked setting with youth and diverse groups
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, enthusiastic, energetic personality with sense of humor
Excellent organizational, analytical, and writing skills
Strong multitasking, team and planning skills, with proven ability to complete projects on time
Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
Ability and desire to work in an open, collaborative office environment

Desired Qualifications (not required):

Language skills in an Eastern European (Russian preferred) language
Previous experience in coordinating projects, exchange programs and/or international travel
