Fundraising & Development Coordinator – Comic Relief USA – New York


Comic Relief USA seeks a Fundraising & Development Coordinator to help support our fundraising, database marketing and management efforts. This is a unique opportunity for a talented, committed, and results-oriented individual who is passionate about our mission to use the power of entertainment to drive positive change.

This position is based in New York City. The position will work closely with all members of the Fundraising & Development team, Marketing, Finance, and Grants.

Email and SMS Campaign Management:
Responsible for managing timelines, drafting briefs, creative deliverables, approval, and QA processes for all constituent emails and SMS messages
Build and test constituent lists to support segmented communications strategy
Analytics and Reporting:
Collect and report metrics related to performance and revenue generated, identifying trends, measuring against benchmarks
Provide analysis and research to support new approaches.
Database Management:
Monitor and evaluate the health of database records, particularly new acquisitions
Ensure the timely upload of data from all sources and platforms into CRM
Train or facilitate training across teams as needed/appropriate
Donor Services / Community Management:
Field in-bound communications: respond to all donor inquiries and relay fundraising leads to appropriate team members
Process offline and workplace gifts, working in partnership with the Finance team
Create and send acknowledgment letters to donors
Other tasks or projects as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree and/or at least 2 years experience in a similar role

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Apps (Gmail, Google Docs and Calendar)
Experience working with CRM systems and constituent management systems
Strong analytical and research skills, ability to synthesize and present complex information in a simple and compelling way.
Experience using campaign management and database applications for direct marketing.
Experience working with digital/social advertising environments.

Partner with creative, analytics, technology and internal teams to coordinate assets and deliverables for campaigns
Regularly analyze performance and optimize campaigns to improve efficiency and performance
Actively monitor competitor activity and broader industry trends
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and goals
