Associate – GALvanize USA – Seattle, WA

Job Responsibilities
The Associate, will be based in Seattle, WA and report to the Executive Director. They are responsible for the following:
Providing executive support
Manage Executive Director’s calendar and facilitate meetings and communications to build project momentum and ensure transparency with stakeholders. Includes:
Implementing internal meeting schedule and managing calendars to support priorities
Handling routine correspondence and invitations for speaking engagements
Coordinating logistics for convenings with Advisory Committee, state partners, and other stakeholders
Maintain office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems and supplies procurement

Supporting development and outreach activities
Set up effective systems for Salesforce donor data management and continually update and maintain database records; maintain all funder and donor files
Support the planning and execution of small cultivation and fundraising events and house parties
Support external communications, including assistance with regular stakeholder updates and donor acknowledgement
Create fundraising reports and other database reports as needed
Sustain social media accounts to strengthen GALvanize USA’s branding and community impact

Aiding financial systems operations
Support Executive Director with budget monitoring, analysis, and management
Work with our Fiscal Sponsor to support expense reporting and vendor payments
Responsible for purchasing office equipment and has discretionary authority over program supplies

Qualifications
We are seeking candidates who are highly detail oriented, great team players, and who show up with intention and follow through on projects. You should have:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and training
At least 3-5 years of experience supporting an executive with donor engagement and board liaison activities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
A proactive approach to problem solving and the ability to make decision independently. You see what is needed, drive solutions, adapt with ease, and develop systems to help GALvanize USA realize its potential
A demonstrated commitment to meeting a high bar and a history of getting things done with a can-do attitude
Ability to monitor and control resources and oversee the spending of money
Comfort working with a small team and enthusiasm for taking on a wide variety of new responsibilities as they arise in a changing environment
A track record of developing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with and among a diverse group of stakeholders
High emotional intelligence and strong commitment to the organization’s mission of advancing a progressive agenda that works for all of us
Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Salesforce, MailChimp, PowerPoint and similar technology is ideal. The ability to independently master these and similar software is critical.
Experience with social media and prior experience in a start-up environment are both plusses but are not requirements.
