We are looking for an energetic, productive, and collaborative Communications Associate to join our growing team, where you’ll help us improve our communications to varied audiences nationally.
The Communications Associate will have a proven track record of developing content used for recruitment, retention, and education purposes. S/he must be comfortable creating communications on various platforms, such as HTML email, websites, and print collateral, and for various audiences. S/he must have strong copy editing skills.
This position reports to the Director of Student Relations.
Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of all student, educator, and partner-facing communications, including, but not limited to, web, print, and mobile.
Tailor communication content designed for specific demographics, including current, prospective, and former students, educators, and parents.
Contribute to the content on various web portals and social media campaigns.
Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of annual communication plan for the overall organization.
Manage the content of the BridgeBlog.
Support the QuestBridge staff on various communications requests.
Assist with overall Student Relations initiatives, such as application content, application testing, student support, etc.
All QuestBridge staff also are expected to participate in staffing major events, such as our National College Admissions Conferences, and reading and evaluating applications for our student programs.
BA in Communications, Journalism, or a relevant field.
2-5 years of experience working in communications.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Basic HTML/CSS experience.
Strong copy-editing skills.
Knowledge of WordPress.
Strong belief in the goals and mission of QuestBridge.
Creative, analytical thinker.
Exceptional leadership, coordination, and execution with minimal supervision.
Strong collaborator and individual contribution – demonstrated team player.
Self-starter, resourceful, and organized with ability to self-manager and take ownership of work.
Keen sense of accountability.
Experience working with similar demographic; knowledge of the college admissions process.
Highly organized and creative.
Strong attention to detail.
Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience; benefits included with full-time employment.
Hours and Location: Full-time position. QuestBridge’s office is located in downtown Palo Alto, just steps from the Cal train station.
