The Campaign Manager will drive the planning and execution of key activities related to St. Francis Xavier’s current $9 million campaign. The Campaign Manager will assist with the significant increase in major gift fundraising, administrative and operations work related to the campaign within the St. Francis parish and school community.
The Campaign Manager will manage the administrative and day-to-day operations of the campaign, as well as support the Pastor, Principal and Campaign Committee members with their duties. Under the supervision of the Campaign Committee Chairperson, the Campaign Manager will:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the campaign, including meeting with campaign volunteer leaders, managing logistics and the campaign budget, and scheduling all campaign meetings
Help identify and qualify prospects – manage the volunteer recommendations in regard to prospects
Manage prospect research and help develop cultivation/solicitation strategies
Support campaign volunteers in their campaign-related duties, including:
Scheduling meetings and conference calls
Accompanying volunteers on selected calls
Track prospect management activity
Engage volunteers in campaign activities, especially the members of the Campaign Steering Committee
Using database software, develop and produce (or manage the production of) regular progress reports, such as: prospects identified; prospects cultivated; prospects ready for solicitation; prospects solicited but results unconfirmed; funds pledged and campaign dollars received; gifts by source; gifts received unrestricted and gifts received restricted; etc.
Provide all necessary and appropriate staff support to the Campaign Co-Chairs and the Campaign Steering Committee members, including supporting campaign leaders in their fundraising roles and preparing agendas, materials, and progress reports for Committee meetings/conference calls
Manage the planning and development of the campaign communications materials
Plan and help implement all campaign special events
The ideal candidate will possess most of the following professional and personal qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree.
At least five to seven years of professional fundraising experience; campaign experience preferred.
A self-starter with strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Ability to work closely with leadership and a committed and engaged group of volunteer solicitors.
Articulate, with strong written communications and presentation skills.
Experience with prospect/donor management fundraising software applications.
Ability to travel as needed and attend evening and weekend events.
